Questions & Answers for CRAFTSMAN®/MD CRAFTSMAN®/MD Wide Dual Stage Gas Snowblower

Question

snowblowers

I purchased a snowblower for my husband a couple of weeks ago and understand, Sears is offering 40% off for the Long Weekend. Would the particular snowblower I purchased be eligible for this discount as well.
It was Stock number 52062 and it was also on sale until October 3/10. Please advise. My neighbour purchased the same machine.

Go back to the store and ask them to give you the sale price. If they say no, tell them you want to return your purchase.

Hello,

The snowthrower is self-propelled so it is just a matter of guiding it along. Weight should not be an issue there. The bigger issue is with the snow that the plow dumps at the end of the driveway, depending on how much and how hard the snow is, there is more of an element of physicality in using the snowthrower. You need to be able to "work the snowthrower" as you are using it to keep it balanced and in-line.

Thanks for shopping Sears.

Question

Will 9.0 ft.lbs torque enough to remove the heavy plow buildup at end of driveway?

My biggest concern is if this blower (with 9 ft.lbs torque) can throw heavy snow plowed at the end of driveway, like the heavy snow last winter in Toronto area. I would appreciate the comments from anyone who have used it to remove the end of driveway.

Thanks,

CJ

the engine manufacturer is LCT, if you go to a sears outlet and get their snowblower buyer/comparison guide they have a little write up on the engines!

Question

Dimension

Could you please give me the dimensions of the unit? I want to know if I can fit it through the standard door of my shed as I don't have a large garage door. If it is too wide for that, can you suggest a good two stage blower that would work for me?

Thanks.
